At Sakata, we are taking a fresh approach to genetics.
Not only are we striving for plants that ultimately work well for consumers, we’re listening to our growers and retailers and developing varieties that address production and sell-through needs. Our industry needs plants that are reliable, easy to program, survive well in transit and offer a long shelf life at retail.
We also hear the demand for innovative products, holiday promotions, veggies as ornamentals, items that work well in hanging baskets, the ever-expanding container category and for opening price point. Sakata’s 2012-13 flower and vegetable introductions meet a number of these criteria. We look forward to bringing you more of these breakthrough products in the coming year.
